Simple, I know everyone have different types of computers one another. May be old until new computers. And tips below apply to all types of computers. I liked pentium II, III, IV, Celeron, AMD, dual core, quad core and much more. Everything is okay and welcome with this tips.

1. Power Supply. You know this is the most important thing in any case of electronic goods. So, make sure your computer still has feasible of it. Keep it from dust, and extreme weather conditions. And also note the performance of the fan inside. If it is not working properly, replace it with the new.

2. Mainboard / motherboard. Check whether it’s still ok or not. Like power supply, you must avoid it from dust, water and extreme weather conditions.

3. RAM / Memory. This is the important hardware that you should note. More capacity of RAM, the performance will be better. Be sure to make it as the minimal on 512MB-1GB so that you could run any programs on your computer conveniently. If your current computer still has lower than that, upgrade it.

4. Processor. For the minimum activities, such as typing, excel, powerpoint, check email, and even run multiple browsers for the internet purpose, consider to check its thermal routinely, add the paste / thermal grease if it’s almost dry and so on. Don’t forget to check the processor fan. As long as your fan speed looks normal, it’s ok. Want more faster? Upgrade it with the faster as long as your motherboard still support it.

5. VGA Card. Whatever your graphic card version, only two things that you must note. The compatible driver and has been installed properly. If your VGA using fan, also make sure it could works properly. Upgrade it if your mainboard still supports for better performance of screen display and system.

6. Hard Disk Drive and Optical Drive. Simple, replace it with the new one and with the compatibility to your motherboard if it’s damaged or not working properly.

Use dust cloth to clean your monitor and casing (CPU) at least once a week to keep your computer clean and can extend the life of your computer. No dust no problem for electric goods including computer. Okay, start to treat your computer from now. It’s not hard dude. :)
