What’s the difference between LinkedIn and Facebook?

LinkedIn is a social networking site that professional and business-oriented. Users can create profiles, such as resume, professional experience, the name of the company, and industry affiliation, educational background, and the name of the website. By providing professionals information, users can create a network to connect to colleagues, clients and business partners. Some important features of LinkedIn:

* Recommendations: user can recommend a colleague, business partners or service providers to his/her profile. When other users view the profile, they can read the recommendations have been made.
* Contacts: users can find and add contacts with import contacts from Outlook or webmail from Windows Live Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo Mail or AOL, to search for contacts on LinkedIn.
* LinkedIn Search: user can search for people by name, company or industry
* LinkedIn Jobs: a user can search for jobs, update the profile, plus the recommendations or make contact with the job.
* LinkedIn Answers: user can submit questions and answers from a friend on the connection profile and the expert user in the network. Users can also view the questions and answers are entered by another person.
* LinkedIn Service Providers: a directory service provider with the recommendations of the client.

While Facebook is designed only to make connections with various people, friends, family, school friend, and so forth. When users join Facebook and create a profile, it will be found some information to help people find the Facebook user, such as Basic information, Contact information, Personal Information. Basic information such as name, date of birth, home address, political and religious views. Contact information, contact details such as married or single, and so forth. While the Personal Information includes your favorite team, events, movies, and books. Facebook also provides options for users to enter education and work detail. Facebook main features:

* News Feed: a publishing tool and streaming activity at the left
* Highlights: This area will add interaction with whatever is in Facebook, such as posting comments on blogs, message or status, or celebrity page or company that has a lot of new fans, all the applications, pages, events, company, product , and so forth.
* Facebook Groups: user may choose to join a group based in the company, school, or personal website
* Facebook Applications: is a small program that can be installed in the user profile, from the game, IM (Instant Messaging), quiz, or to invite another friend on Facebook.
* Facebook Photos: Facebook users can create online albums that can be seen from their profile
* Facebook Video: user can upload and tag videos to share to their Facebook profile.
